Introduction:
Jawahar Knowledge Centre (JKC) was initiated in 2005 by the Commissionerate of Collegiate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh as a reliable solution to the problem of unemployment faced by students studying non-professional courses in Degree colleges. The increasing prominence of India on the global map and the explosion of IT opportunities have created the need for placement assistance cells that would improve the career prospects of our students. The JKCs with a dedicated focus on transforming the existing unemployable talent pool in Government Degree Colleges into an industry friendly one is striving with commitment and sincerity of purpose.
Objectives:
- To provide intensive training to students in Communication skills, Soft Skills and Analytical Skills
- To impart requisite skills relevant for dynamic job market and to enable students to seize employment opportunities
- To establish computer labs and provide hands on training in Technical skills
- To prepare students for the challenges in the global job market
- To conduct Placement drives and provide job opportunities to students
- To enhance confidence levels and can do attitude in students
