Principal's Message

The S.V.L.N.S. Government Degree College, Bheemunipatnam was established in 1984 with the vision of empowering students of the backward area of Visakhapatnam with higher education.Sri Varaha Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy Government Degree College, Bheemunipatnam is located on the sea-shore. The Logo of the College is the idol of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy with the words ‘aachaaryah poorva roopam – antevaasyuttara roopam’ taken from the taitteriyopanishad.The College began with just one Arts Group and one Commerce Group. In 2009, one Science group B.Sc. with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry was introduced and in 2013 one more science group, with Botany, Zoology and Chemistry were started. In 2016, the college was accredited with B Grade by NAAC.During the academic year  2020-21 two new programmes were introduced B.Com (Computer applications) and BA (Tourism and Travel Management). During the academic 2022-23 a new programme B.Sc( Computer Science ) is introduced.
